Research on the psychology of touch and blindness has important implications for general theoretical approaches in psychology and in neuroscience. However, work in the two areas of psychology and neuroscience has sometimes occurred in isolation, since researchers in these two areas present results at different conferences. This fosters a lacé of proper communication that can hamper theoretical advances in the field.
